Switchable Film Beyond the Car
The same technology on a living room window or a meeting room wall.
Switchable film started for us as an automotive project, but the question we get most often now comes from homeowners and businesses: can you do this to my windows?
Conceptually it is the same product. The film sits on the glass and changes between clear and opaque on demand, so one pane does the job of a window and a blind. In a home, that means a bathroom or a ground-floor window that is clear when you want the light and view, and private the second you need it.
In commercial spaces the use case is even stronger. A glass meeting room that is open and bright by default and completely private during a confidential conversation solves a problem frost film can only solve permanently.
Architectural glass is in some ways easier than a car — it is flat, it does not move up and down inside a door, and wiring runs are more forgiving. The challenge shifts to panel size, power routing through walls, and control placement.
