Taking Switch Tint Across North America
The next step for a product built in an Ottawa shop.
When we started building this in 2020, the ambition was to solve a problem for our own customers. It has grown considerably past that.
Interest in Switch Tint now comes from well outside Ontario — from shops that want to offer it and from drivers in cities where we have no presence. That is the reason the next phase is expansion across North America rather than just more bays in Ottawa.
What that looks like practically: supplying the product properly, standardizing the install so the result is the same everywhere, and building the documentation and support that lets a qualified installer do the job to our standard. The failure mode we want to avoid is a great product ruined by inconsistent installation.
Ottawa stays home. This is where the shop is, where the product was developed, and where every new vehicle platform gets prototyped first. Local customers are not going to be an afterthought in a bigger operation.
For anyone who has followed this from the early posts — thank you. It genuinely started as two guys in a small shop wondering why nobody had made this yet.
