Why We Ask for a Deposit

Booking a bay, cutting film, and respecting everyone's time.

Why We Ask for a Deposit

We take a deposit on Switch Tint installations and on larger jobs, and we want to be straightforward about why.

A Switch Tint install occupies a bay for four to six hours. When that slot is booked, it is not available to anyone else. A last-minute cancellation does not just cost us a day — it costs the person we turned away that morning.

There is also material. Film and components for these installs are ordered and prepared for a specific vehicle. Once cut and prepped, they cannot go on the next car that walks in.

The deposit goes toward the total. It is not an extra charge, and it comes off the final invoice. If you need to move your appointment with reasonable notice, we move the deposit with you — we understand life happens.

Standard car tint appointments generally do not require one. We are flexible, and we would rather be easy to work with than rigid.

It comes down to a simple thing: our time and your time are worth the same. A deposit just means both of us are actually showing up.

Thinking about tinting?

We tint cars, homes, and businesses across Ottawa. Tell us what you need and we will give you a straight answer and a real number.
