Fitting Switch Tint to Different Vehicles

Every platform has its own glass shape, wiring path, and quirks.

Fitting Switch Tint to Different Vehicles

The hardest part of Switch Tint is not the film. It is that no two vehicles are built the same way.

Glass curvature differs on every model, and switchable film has to conform without stressing the layer that does the work. Door glass that drops into the door is a different challenge than fixed quarter glass, because the film and its connection have to tolerate movement.

Wiring is the other half. The connection has to leave the glass, cross into the door or pillar, and reach the controller without being visible, without being pinched by the window mechanism, and without interfering with anything the manufacturer put there. On some platforms that path is generous. On others it is millimetres.

Then there is the control itself — where it sits, how it feels, and whether it looks like it came with the car. We aim for the install to be invisible until you use it.

This is why we have grown our vehicle list gradually instead of claiming we can do anything. Each new platform gets prototyped properly. If you drive something unusual and you want it done, ask — we will tell you honestly whether it is on the list yet.
