Chameleon Tint on Windshields
A colour-shifting film that does real work on the biggest piece of glass in the car.
The windshield is the largest window in your vehicle and the one that lets in the most heat. It is also the one most people never touch, because a dark windshield is not practical or legal in most cases.
Chameleon film is the interesting alternative. It is a light, high-clarity film that shifts colour depending on the viewing angle — often reading purple, gold, or green in different light — while rejecting a substantial amount of infrared heat.
The performance is the real reason to do it. A windshield film can change how a car feels on a sunny highway drive more than any side window, because that is the glass pointed at the sun for most of your drive. The colour shift is the bonus.
It has to be installed well. Windshields are curved, large, and unforgiving — any contamination or crease sits directly in your line of sight. There is no hiding a mistake on this panel, which is why not every shop offers it.
We install chameleon film on windshields alongside our ceramic work. If you are already tinting the rest of the car, this is the panel that makes the biggest difference to how the cabin actually feels.
