The First Two Weeks With New Film
A short list that protects your install for years.

Almost everything that goes wrong with a new tint happens in the first fortnight, and almost all of it is avoidable.
Keep the windows up for at least three to five days. The adhesive needs to bond, and rolling a window down early can catch the edge of uncured film and peel it.
Expect some haze and small water pockets. That is moisture trapped between film and glass, and it evaporates through the film. In warm weather it clears in a few days; in cold or humid conditions it can take two or three weeks. Do not poke it.
Do not clean the interior glass for about a week. After that, use an ammonia-free cleaner and a soft microfibre cloth. Ammonia-based cleaners attack film adhesive over time.
Avoid suction cup mounts, stickers, and anything adhesive on the film surface for the first month.
Park in the sun if you can. It sounds counterintuitive, but heat speeds curing.
After that, film is essentially maintenance-free. Clean it normally, keep scrapers off the inside, and it will look the same in five years as it did when you picked the car up.
